A 'vulnerable' man who was reported missing from his home in Gloucester has been found in Devon.

Giles Burnell, 43, was reported missing from his home in the Tuffley area on Wednesday evening.

â¿¿His wife raised the alarm after he failed to return home.

Following extensive police inquiries, Devon and Cornwall Police located Mr Burnell at a beauty spot in Croyde yesterday afternoon.

Police said he was "safe and well".

A spokesperson for Gloucester Police said Mr Burnell had been classed as a 'high risk' missing person due his 'vulnerable' state.

Police said they made various inquiries to trace Mr Burnell, including checking his telephone and bank records.

It is understood police managed to locate the missing man following sightings of his vehicle.

It is the second time Mr Burnell has been reported missing in the last three months.

He was reported missing in November last year after he failed to show up to work.

His next of kin have been informed of his whereabouts and it is believed that he has since returned to his Gloucester home.
