Funeral of Stonehouse rail death man, Stephen Kelly, tomorrow

The funeral of the Rodborough man killed two weeks ago after being hit by a train at Standish Junction near Stonehouse will take place tomorrow.

Fifty-three-year-old Mr Kelly, of Walkley Hill, was killed after being struck by the 7.11am First Great Western Gloucester to Swindon train as it passed by Standish Junction at about 7.22am on Wednesday, January 30.
Mr Kelly's funeral service will be held at St Mary Magdalene Church, Rodborough, tomorrow at 2pm.
His family have requested no flowers, other than those from Mr Kelly's family, asking that donations in lieu of flowers be made to a cause close to Mr Kelly's heart, the Stroud Valleys Project, via www.stroudvalleysproject.org, or Michael Gamble Funeral Directors, Station House, Station Road, Stroud GL5 3AR, telephone 01453 790900.
Family and friends will gather at the Prince Albert in Rodborough - a pub at which Mr Kelly was a regular - after the service, to remember him and celebrate his life.
Tributes to Mr Kelly have been paid on the Facebook page of the Prince Albert.
